Andrya spent a number of summers in the USA during her time at university, working with children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in summer camps. The experience profoundly touched her and led her to choose a career path that felt meaningful to her. Along with this and her own desire to understand the impact of her own life experiences, she decided to train as a psychotherapist, leading her to work with both adults and children from all walks of life.
Andrya has worked with adults through charitable organisations such as Mind and the West London Centre for Counselling. Her work in schools, ChildLine, The Place2Be, and the NHS’ Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS), has enabled her to develop specialist expertise in working therapeutically with children and adolescents. She is experienced in working with primary aged children using play therapy and with adolescents using creative mediums and talking therapy. She has extensive experience in working with parents, and in supporting them in their relationships with their children. She has extensive experience as a supervisor and trainer, having taught Child Counselling at The Place2Be, and Adult Psychotherapy at Regents University College.
We are registered with the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP), and work within the UKCP’s ethical framework for good practice, and are DBS checked.
